The Albuquerque Uptown area is marked by I-25 to Wyoming, and by Montgomery to I-40. Albuquerque Uptown offers a snazzy new upscale shopping center with plenty of eateries, and a large business district. You’ll find many ranch-style homes in established neighborhoods with mature landscaping.

Shopping is the name of the game here! Albuquerque Uptown is home to the trendy, Scottsdale-styled outside shopping center by the same name. Opened Fall 2006, ABQ Uptown (pictured left) serves up a great variety of stores, including Borders, Apple Computer, Williams-Sonoma, Eddie Bauer, Talbots, Marcello’s Chophouse, the Elephant Bar, and the newly-opened Trader Joe’s–to name just a few! Just across Louisiana Blvd is the Coronado Center, an indoor mall with a sizable food court and anchored by Sears, Mervyns, and Macy’s.

Two fine public libraries occupy Uptown–Erna Fergusson and Tony Hillerman.
