Sandia Heights is positioned east of Tennyson and North of San Antonio to the Bernalillo County Line. There, you’ll take in the many large-sized adobe homes scattered among the beautiful Southwestern topography of the foothills of the Sandia Mountains.
Residents of Sandia Heights enjoy the solitude of high desert living along with many scenic nature trails. At dusk, be sure to view the glittering night lights of Albuquerque as you hike up the trail at the Elena Gallegos Park.
For an even better view of the surrounding countryside and city, take a trip on the Sandia Peak Tramway, the world’s longest aerial tramway, and be lifted a distance of almost three miles! You won’t want to miss the observation deck of Sandia Peak, which offers a truly spectacular panoramic view of the Land of Enchantment!
